Isku Interior presents the world’s first inclusive and versatile collection of antimicrobial furniture at the Orgatec 2016 fair in Cologne. In public spaces, we share and touch different surfaces and this exposes us for possible infections. For that reason, Isku has developed antimicrobial collection with its partners and research parties. Isku is a family-owned company established in 1928 in Finland. Isku designs and develops, produces and markets furniture and comprehensive interior solutions for homes, schools, offices, healthcare facilities as well as for all public spaces.
Working individually and together in shared spaces sets requirements for the industry. Isku has taken a great step forward and has created a solution where design, comfort, functionality and safety meet. Isku’s innovation is based on copper and silver technology on surfaces, fabrics and coatings that actively prevent contaminations. Isku’s furniture are a safe choice because there is no chemicals used and that makes it purely 100% natural. Isku is presenting the collection at the Orgatec fair, stand Q050 P051.
Antibiotic resistance is increasing and new ways of preventing contagious illnesses are needed. Antimicrobial materials in furniture and surfaces are an effective solution to prevent illnesses together with washing hands and regular cleaning. “We have the world’s first inclusive and versatile collection of antimicrobial furniture. With correct materials we can decrease up to 60% of HCAI (healthcare associated infections) and 20% of sick-leaves at schools and offices”, says Isku Health Product Marketing Manager Anne Laitinen.
Isku’s experts introduce the significance of the antimicrobial solutions for well-being. Isku’s antimicrobial collection is the result of long-term product development. Antimicrobial materials effectivity is proved by series of testing and there is wide range of international scientific research behind the product development. The materials in the collection also eliminate bacteria that is resistant to antibiotics – so called super bacteria and even viruses. ”Isku’s antimicrobial furniture collection is Finnish design made in Finland. Contagious diseases and antibiotic resistance are growing global problem. This is way Isku Health-collection has its clear marketplace around the world”, says Isku’s VP Sales Global Markets Tapio Sieviläinen.
